WI-FI BASED ENERGY METER SYSTEM AND CONTROL

We usually saw in our daily life that an employee from electricity department come to our home and then note the reading then, the department generates the bill and send to our home. This is a daily process and applied to lakhs of homes. Now, we try to design such a system which automatically take the reading of our energy meter and send it to an electricity department. And then email the bill to the customer automatically.

This project is selected in IEEE HTC 2016 SIP.

AUTOMATIC LIGHT INTENSITY CONTROLLER WITH PULSE WIDTH MODULATION 

The project was undertaken towards the partial fulfillment of DEI’s second-year undergraduate curriculum. The aim of this project was to reduce power consumption by street light as they glow at maximum intensity when it not too dark. So the circuit is designed to reduce this wastage of electricity. It works on the principle of IC-74121 (Mono Stable multivibrater) and IC-555 Timer. The IC-555 gives a pulse after every 60 seconds which is then modulate by IC-74121 in correspondence with the values of R (Resistance) and C (Capacitance) used. With further designing the intensity of the street light is varied.
Thus at 5 PM when it is not too dark the intensity of the street light is less and as it grows dark at 6 & 7 PM the intensity of light increases at becomes maximum after 7 PM when it is completely dark and it continue to next morning.
